RESPONSIBILITIES
ZeroShadow is seeking expert crypto sleuths to join our Incident Response Crypto Tracing and Investigations team. This pivotal role involves tracing, tracking, and reporting on stolen funds as they traverse various blockchains, unraveling complex digital trails to secure and recover assets. Our team operates at the cutting edge of cryptocurrency investigations, leveraging proprietary technology and deep industry knowledge to detect and dissect security breaches.

 

As a vital member of this unit, you will collaborate with a network of Web3 partners to pinpoint and freeze illicit transactions, preventing further financial loss and facilitating the recovery of assets for our clients. QUALIFICATIONS

• Cryptocurrency Investigations Experience: Applicants should have hands-on experience of at least one year with blockchain analysis tools and the ability to track and investigate cryptocurrency transactions on new blockchains with native explorers. Familiarity with the tools and methodologies used to trace digital assets across various platforms is crucial. Senior Investigators should also have experience in working through mixers on the technical side of investigations and experience in working with international law enforcement on the relationships and communication side of investigations.

• Report Writing Skills: Strong written communication skills are essential for producing clear, concise, and detailed reports on investigation findings. Candidates must be adept at synthesizing complex data into understandable and actionable information for various stakeholders.

• Curiosity: A natural inclination to question, explore, and investigate new or unfamiliar details is vital. The ideal candidate will possess an investigative mindset that drives them to dig deeper and uncover the truth behind digital transactions.

• Resilience: The ability to remain focused and effective under pressure is key, especially when dealing with the complexities and challenges of tracing illicit crypto activities. Resilience in the face of obstacles and the capacity to persevere until a resolution is reached are important traits.

• Cyber Threat Landscape Experience: Knowledge of the current cyber threat environment, including common attack vectors and potential security breaches within the blockchain space. This understanding helps in proactively identifying risks and mitigating threats to digital assets.

• People and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with team members, partners, and clients. The role demands clear articulation of complex issues and active participation in discussions to resolve security incidents.

• Desire to Learn: The rapidly evolving nature of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies requires a continual learning mindset. Candidates must be eager to stay updated with the latest developments and innovations in the field and apply new knowledge to their work.
